Long time comin

Well this post surely has been a long time comin! I have two entire months of catching up to do! I guess we should go back to September....Chase, my dad, and Larry all had birthdays in September. My dad and Larry share the same birthday, September 4th. On "Pop's" birthday we celebrated with dinner, ice cream cake, and some very special presents.

Here are Larry and Kyle posing with "Tiki Guy." Tiki Guy will move into his new home in the Tiki Hut out back by the pool this spring.

Ian and Chase also crafted Pop some special gifts out of clay. They had some much fun doing this! Here is Larry, Kyle, Ian and Chase posing with the "Pop" clay design. 

My dad and Connie were able to come down for a visit right before his birthday. The boys had such a good time staying at the hotel with them for a few days and swimming in the pool and hot tub.

Chase's birthday was September 23rd and he woke up to find that the "birthday fairy" had arrived.

What a neat tradition we have started! Chase thought it was awesome of course and wanted to keep his birthday fairy balloons for weeks!  That evening we had Chase's favorite dinner, Spaghetti, and mommy baked him his favorite cake, funfetti! Our friend and neighbor, Miss Sue, joined us for dinner that evening. Chase and Ian both just adore Miss Sue and she does them as well. The boys love to ride their bikes at her house because she has a nice slopping brick path leading from the bottom of her driveway across the back of her house and to the big pavilion in the backyard. So they start on their bikes or scooters at the top of the road and zoom down the driveway to the backyard. Such fun!
